NCS Library

The NCS library exists to supplement classroom instruction, provide quality Christian literature, and encourage intelligent use of library resources. The library services grades 1-12 and conducts a program of instruction in library use for grades 1-5.

Containing more than 10,000 books, 275 videos, 30 periodicals, six computers, four printers, three multimedia systems, and a copy machine, the fully-automated library is a vibrant part of campus-life at NCS. Biblical resources include a variety of commentaries, concordances, dictionaries, and atlases. The library's computers assist student research and homework by providing filtered Internet access and the full suite of Microsoft Office products.

First, second, and third grade classes visit the library each week for instruction and book check-out. The students learn about book care, the parts of a book, and the arrangement of books in the library.

Fourth and fifth grade classes visit the library every other week and learn how to research topics and use library reference materials.

Junior and High School students come to the library individually for study, research, and homework.

The library's selection policy is based primarily on the curriculum of NCS courses, with special consideration given to Christian literature, age-appropriate materials, and teacher resources.
